The Data Engineer will be in charge of creating and orchestrating the Leafwell data pipeline, which means gathering data, creating & automating data transformations, and producing actionable insights for Leafwell’s internal stakeholders. Responsibilities also include supporting critical testing and rollout of new data features. The objective of the Data Engineer role is to build and maintain systems that inform Leafwell’s business stakeholders about Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and suggest data-driven strategies to optimize those metrics.

• Telemedicine allows everyone to receive the health care they need and deserve from the comfort of their home. Patients can speak to a physician and get certified online.

• As more patients are certified, the greater the number of patient populations we can study for research. We are gathering real-world evidence (RWE) to understand better which cannabis products people are using and how effective they are – decipher which cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids are best for which conditions.

Increase Knowledge

• Leafwell’s healthcare professionals become armed with the resources they need to answer patients’ questions with accuracy and clarity – increasing trust and helping people understand why cannabis is medicine.

Increase Education

• Patients from all over the country can find out how and why they use cannabis and its effectiveness for their conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Data Engineer will perform the following responsibilities:

• Acquire, assemble, transform and analyze data
• Create, manage and orchestrate the data pipeline and its infrastructure
• Present findings, trends, and suggested optimizations
• Identify new opportunities and threats to the company's business model
• Update and revise reports, queries, and analytic procedures as necessary
• Design and implement tracking so that optimization efforts can be measured
• Identify inefficiencies in data processes and automate where appropriate
• Write and update international SOPs and internal documentation
• Support IT systems management with testing, validation, and user support
• Proactively identify initiatives for data-related improvements

Experience and Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in Data Analytics
• Advance working knowledge and experience in SQL and relational databases
• Strong data management abilities, including data analysis, standardization, cleansing, querying, and consolidation of data
• Data visualization experience (e.g Tableau, Looker, etc.)
• Exercises self-reliance, initiative, and leadership while keeping stakeholders properly informed and involved
• Reliably manage numerous duties during a workday, necessitating interactions with people located across the world
• Technically competent, with the ability to quickly learn new processes and programs, and utilize various software applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with and appeal to a wide variety of personalities and professional tendencies
• Cannabis knowledge; industry experience is a plus

Preferred

• Python or R programming
• Experience with CRM products
• Experience with dbt or comparable data transformation software
• Effective project management skills and comfort utilizing a project management platform in collaboration with other team members

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: 70,500.00€ - 72,000.00€ per year
